Information

The aim of the Shaolin Temple Germany Development Association (Förderverein Shaolin Tempel e.V.) is to promote the Shaolin Culture in Europe (also read Statutes and Articles). Our primary goal is the establishment and sustenance of an outstanding Temple for Europe in which the Shaolin Culture can be properly cultivated and shared.

Traditionally in China, it is a great and honorable gesture for influential people, as well as royalty, to financially support Buddhist Temples - mainly as an expression of gratitude to the Monks who devote themselves to the spiritual work in the Temple.  This is why the Shaolin Mother Temple in China does not finance the European Shaolin Temple.

The Shaolin Mother Temple in China presently initiates and supports many worthwhile causes, such as the continuous financing of one thousand orphaned children.   In the same spirit, the finances from benefactors and donors here in Germany would support not only the building and maintenance of the Shaolin Temple and its culture, but also many other worthwhile causes here in Germany.

The financial support you can afford is an important contribution to world peace, an understanding between nations, and the preservation of a 1,500 year old culture.
